Tux Paint 0.9.21

For those of you who have used the earlier version of Tux Paint, there is a newer version that has been release in the last two years that provides new and exciting stamps and special effects. As with the older version, there are numerous applications for Tux Paint in the classroom such as...
Storytelling, Rhyming Words, Starts with the letter...,Demonstrating math problems, Illustrating science concepts...the possibilities are endless!

HSTI is Here Again!

Hot Springs Technology Institute (HSTI) 2010 is a 4 day conference which includes hands-on training workshops as well as breakout sessions. HSTI's focus has always been to provide learning and sharing opportunities for educators throughout the state of Arkansas in an effort to encourage technology integration within the 21st Century classroom.

WallWisher...Make Paperless Sticky Notes

Wallwisher allows you to post sticky notes to a virtual wall. There are numerous personal uses for Wallwisher, but I can also see the potential for its use in the classroom. I recently posted a discussion note on Wallwisher and had students respond. They loved it. We discussed the postings on "the wall" via interactive whiteboard and saved alot of paper too!

We've Flipped Over Flip Video Cameras!

Park IB teachers and students are "flipping" over our recently purchased Flip video cameras. Kindergarten classes have recorded their fairy tale productions, second grade classes have made advertising presentations and fourth grade classes produced a mini-movie about their wishes for children around the world. Flip cameras are easy to use and integrate into Windows Movie Maker. The only limitation is your imagination.
