Since 2003, I have been a digital immigrant responsible for technology integration within an IB program at Park Magnet School/HSSD.
For eight years I taught Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for students in grades K-5, as well as provided classroom teachers with technology integration resources. Our district’s technology curriculum aims to enhance “inquiry-based” learning through research, communication and visual expression not only within our own school, but reaching out to our community and beyond.
I have developed and presented professional development technology workshops within our school district along with other districts in our state, as well as our state technology conference and NECC(now ISTE).
2012 marks a new journey with my district as I am now Academic Technology Coach for all campuses within Hot Springs School District. A self proclaimed life-long learner, I am always researching and exploring technology tools for learning that are meaningful and relevant for 21st century students!
