NECC 2008
I am looking forward to attending NECC 2008 in San Antonio which begins Sunday evening. This will be my fifth NECC conference to attend and my first to present a one-hour session. I have created a session discussion blog on the NECC Ning Network to open discussions about elementary literacy and technology. http://www.necc2008.org/forum/topic/show?id=1997968%3ATopic%3A10972

It's Good to Blab....with Blabberize!
There are so many Web 2.0 tools that can enhance a student's learning experience and Blabberize is on of them. While it isn't a secure educational environment, there are so many possibilities of using it in the classroom. I made a Blabber of Swamp Angel, a great tall tale character. Give Blabberize a try for yourself.
The following link will take you to the Blabberize website where I created my blabber:

H.S.T.I. Was a Great Success.
Last week, 1500 attendees participated in two days of workshops followed by two days of conference sessions at the Hot Springs Technology Institute. H.S.T.I. is the state conference on K-12 education technology held at Hot Springs High School in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
This year's keynote speakers included Dr. David Thornburg, Dr. Tom Burnett, Michael DiSpezio, and motivational speaker, Debbie Silver. There were many great breakout sessions that covered the vast spectrum of educational technology topics.
